Fire insurance is governed by the Fire Tariff. You should gain a better understanding of fire insurance by familiarising yourself with the Fire Tariff.
It is essential that you fully understand the regulations of the Fire Tariff and conduct your business within the framework of the Tariff.
Scope of Cover
A standard fire policy covers:
- Fire
- Lightning
- Explosion of
- a domestic boiler
- domestic gas cylinder not forming part of a gas work
Fire damage under a fire policy also means:
- Damage by water or other extinguishing agents used to put off fire.
- Damage resulting from gaining access to a fire.
- Smoke damage from fire caused by an insured peril.
