ABOUT THIS POLICY
An employee injured as a result of negligence on the part of his employer has just the same right of action against the employer for damages as any other citizen had. An employee has a right to compensation from his employer for injuries, if it is established that the employer failed to fulfill his duties and as a result caused injuries to him
The employer’s duty of care to his employees is to provide:
- A safe place of work.
- Proper plant, tools, machinery and working implements and for their maintenance in good working order.
- A safe system of work, with adequate warning of any damage which he might not be aware.
Competent and sober fellow-employees.
